To reserve rental equipment for your lesson package, please call the Sports Shop at 208-783-1517 between 8am - 6pm. You will need to know the name, birthday, height, weight and shoe size for EACH person requiring rental equipment.

*Upgrade your private lesson to a Semi-Private, bring your friends and add-on additional students to change the lesson to a Semi-Private lesson. Semi-Private lessons can be thought of as a reserved group, and are the best way to learn with a small group of friends or family exclusively! Lessons are a flat rate upgrade not per student, but with packages, the first student pays full price and all additional students are discounted.
Our Learn to Ski or Ride packages improve your skills in a group atmosphere. Packages include a lift ticket, rental, and lesson. Level 1 lessons are from 10:30am-12:00pm and Level 2 and 3 lessons are available at 1:00pm-2:30pm. Group lessons will only be offered in Level 1, Level 2 , and Level 3. Private and Semi-Private lessons are available for all levels.
Silver Mountain’s Snow Sports School is located on the main level of the Mountain House in the gondola bay. Before heading up the gondola, you will need to purchase your tickets (or pick up your tickets if you pre-purchased them online) from the ticketing window located in the Gondola Village. Once you’ve reached the Mountain House, please check-in to the Snow Sports School office before picking up any rentals. The Snow Sports School is located next to the rental shop to the left. Our employees can get you checked-in or assist you with finding the appropriate lesson for your ability level.
If this is your first time, please come prepared with the appropriate gear including wool socks, gloves, and goggles. Silver Mountain Sports Shop, located in the Gondola Village, can help outfit you for your first time on the mountain if you’re unsure what you’ll need.
This is the perfect way to start snowboarding or skiing! You've always wanted to try it out, and this is the most affordable way to do it. Our fantastic instructors will teach you the skills you need to get started, and our rental shop will fit you with modern equipment to make the first day as easy and comfortable as possible! Set yourself up for success, and get started with your new passion! This offer includes a beginner area ticket, lesson and rentals. Non-transferable. Customers will receive a full refund with 24 hours notice of cancellation. Customers will also receive a full refund in case of operator cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. Customers also have the option to move their reservation to another day in lieu of a refund. Contact us by phone to cancel or inquire about a cancellation. No-shows will be charged the full price.
